What’s up

I ate lunch at Tokiwa Kitchen today. Tokiwa is a ma-and-pa eatery, or it is more likely to be a grandmother-and-grandfather kitchen. They are at the ages of late sixties and people eating at this kitchen are mostly older than the mam-and-papa. The owners, the customers and the kitchen itself, all know their days are numbered. Though they cook and serve quietly, and they eat quietly, when they pay the bills, money as well as encouraging words are exchanged and, not often though, some mumble their wishes for flash and painless ends. I ate fried oysters and rice over beer for around $13. The picture must make your mouth watering. It was nice.
