I spot tents for street vendors in a park near the station. The tents are for Katori Jinzya shrine autumn festival. The festival is held this weekend from Friday.
Spot an insect on the corridor in the New Yurakucho Bldg. Hope it was a cricket, not a cockroach.
Join a con-call of clearance managers and hear the situation at Kansai International Airport cargo handling facities and traffic condition between the island airport and the mainland. The manager controlling inbound and outbound cargo at KIX office reports that outbound diversions to NRT and Centrair near Nagoya face truck shortage as everyone thinks the same alternative.
NRT manager says NRT’s inbound cargo handling volume increases by 50 percent and the time to matching unloaded goods (tangible)and AWB data (not tangible) takes time. And many of them are almost one day or more behind the normal processing time schedule.
Those chaotic situations at airports does not affect my working pattern, or more honestly non-working pattern, as an off-the-line-of-command part time advisor.
Go to home as usual at 3:45 and drop in a watering hole “Tokiwa”, watching sumo matches on TV over hoppy cocktails. Another happy hour and a happy day!
On the way back home, I go into a Co-op supermarket to buy onions, cucumbers and tea as well as to check milk stock.
Milk is re-stocked.
