Sanzya Maturi is one of three major maturis (Shintoism festival) in this city and they, (this one, Kanda Maturi and Sannou Maturi) have equally long history since early Edo era, from the 17 th century at the latest.
Sanzya Maturi in this year celebrates in this weekend from Friday to Sunday at Asakusa. And Mikoshi parade on Sunday culminates in this three-day hoopla.
