CTB releases the post clearance audit recoveries report and duty/tax evasion investigation results
post clearance audit:
The press release as under says customs conducted post clearance audits to 3,361 declarants between July 2019 and June 2020. The auditors recovered JPYen 123.1 billion ($1.25billion) unpaid duty and tax from 2,723 out of 3,361 declarants.
Duty and Tax evasion investigation:
Customs says 271 cases were indicted to prosecutors or fined by customs (administrative disposition). 199 out of 271 cases are gold smuggling attempts.

Customs and Tariff Bureau (CTB) adds classification ruling examples
CTB has shared classification decisions which could be helpful for understanding actual interpretation and application of HS rules and notes in the form of classification ruling examples, and the latest edition adds Tariff Headings of 2005, 2103 and 6302.

輸出入統計品目表2021年改正11月2日
Export and import trade statistic codes are renewed from January 1st 2021
Customs and Tariff Bureau announced that subject line codes for certain goods are going to be revised in order to make the codes relevant to current trade circumstances. These revisions have been annually conducted and the codes are solely for the statistical purposes and the revision do not directly affect tariff. The revised codes are effective from the filing on January 1st 2021.

国交省―不動産価格指数7月分（住宅）11月2日
MLIT released real-estate price index for July 2020
MLIT collected real-estate price data for the month and released the analysis results based on IMF models of which baseline index is 100 in the year of 2010.
And respective figures are:
Land price 96.1(minus5.1% to June), Home 99.9(plus 1.2% to June), Condominium 150.9(minus0.8% to June)
The report includes index for commercial properties likewise.
