It is freezing today with icy rain. When I walked to home from the station in the evening, I spotted a potted plum flowers gotten wet with rain on the edge of sidewalk.

I remembered a tanka:

こんな日にやめたらいいと思へども
氷雨に咲かうとしをり白梅(馬場あき子)

I don't have knowledge, sense and skill to translate this poem into English.
