Shibamata Sakura Matsuri (Cherry BlossomFestival) this weekend

Shibamata locates east end of Tokyo and atemple town of Taishaku-ten. The temple is not grandiose and its street leading to the temple has small and modest shops. This town had become famous in 1970s as this town was chosen for the scene of movie franchise of more than 40 “Futen no Tora (Otoko ha Tsuraiyo)” series. The movies depicted ordinary people living and working in this small town at the eastern edge of Tokyo.
Its commercial and tourism success had beendepended on the movie and its glory has faded since the end of movie franchise, but still it has maintained unknown small community at the east end of Tokyo, and strangely it still attracts some foreign tourists from China and Taiwan.
As this place is not a thriving business centerand tourist destination, going there is not very much convenient. Please follow your appli.
