Tariff Review Council rules two cases
 

Customs and Tariff Bureau (CTB)publishes the holdings of the council as under.

First case is about IPR and “used inconnection with the goods of a person who produces, certifies or assigns thegoods as a business; or” (Article 2-1 of Trademark Act) is the focal point ofthe dispute. The Council holds that the importation is for personal use.

Second case is about HS classificationand the dispute is whether the added substances to a chemical compound are withinthe allowance of the stabilizers noted in HS 29 or not. The Council holds thatthe substances are functioning more than stabilizers.
