bird feeder

イメージ 1

I take an afternoon walk and walk into a parking lot of a convenience store, in which there are tables and chair for eating-in (or in fact eating-out). I buy a tin of whisky and water, and a packet of nuts. Nuts are for myself and sparrows flying into the parking lot knowing that there are sometimes soft-minds.
I share nuts with them, but not the drink.
An old man comes in and sits a near chair. The birds seem to know him and many more come and perch on power lines and looking down, seem waiting. The old man, as young as I am, takes out a packet filled with bird feed and spreads them. I think more than 50 sparrows enjoy the treat.
He says he knows the pedigrees of the sparrow families and some of them are the third generations since he has started patronizing them.
