Yurukyara (Costumed Mascot Character)

Almost every town, city and province have their own unique Yurukyara, and from farm produce, fishery, fruit, to banks, police and fire-departments have their own Yurukyara for sales and awareness promotion. And even customs has its Yurukyara “Customs Kun”.
Thus it is more than natural that Co-op (Seikyo)has its Yurukyara “Kohsuke Kun”. He waved at This Writer walking into a Co-op shop and TW returned sympathetic hand waves, because TW, who once wore Customs Kun costume at an event in Yamanashi Prefecture in a summer, knows how it is terribly hot in the walls.
