Before going to a customs office in theairport cargo area, I went to the third passenger terminal also known as LCC terminal to which I have never stepped in. LCC terminal is 500 meters from the north-end of the Terminal 2 and passage way with a roof and walls simply for sheltering the passers. And shuttle buses are servicing in? reasonable short intervals. I walked.
At the mid-point of this walkway, there was a map which tells where you are and is both encouraging and also disappointing the travelers who may roll a suitcase and put on back pack, and holding a hand of a child.
At the end of the way there are escalators and lifts to the departure level of the LCC terminal.
The departure level is not much different from other airports' ticketing and luggage receptions as far as their arrangement, but the flooring material is poorer and pipes and wires above are not covered with anything. So, may be intentionally, it gives seedy impression. It should be seedy because Low Cost Carriers are not paying to the airport company as much as regular airlines for landing and using airport facilities.
There are some shops in this level before CIQ gates, and they are mostly unknown gift shops and convenience stores. No brand shops are within the sight.
Neither there is a restaurant of the sort, but there is a food court surrounded by stalls offering in fact universal junk food. The scene reminded me of a similar food court in a shopping mall in Kameari or wherever else.
Unexpectedly, I found a bookshop next to a gift shop. It sells nothing but Japanese books and magazines, but its stock is rather good in good variety. In which I impulsively bought a book written by Donald Keene.
I should have located a smoking chamber, I forgot.
I got in a bus to return the Terminal to after less than one hour inspection, and less than one hour is the time we talked with nice customs inspectors in the afternoon.?
