I marched on to Edo Tokyo Museum and on its way to the museum Iwalked by JR Ryogoku Station building and Sumou Arena, Kokugikan. The station building is an old and modest, but it was one of Tokyo’s terminal stations and trains to south, towns and villages in the Bosou Peninsula, departed from this station once upon a time. The station building still retains the air of the bygone era.
Sumo Autumn Tournament had not yet opened last Friday, but therewere banner-flags carrying wresters’ names along the fences. Three grand champions (Yokoduna) are absent in this tournament because of injuries, but their banners were fluttering in the wind.
